Too much for Wester Culture..too much for colonialization...
In one of our class, our teacher told us that we need to watch a movie. Of course, I am excited. But when our teacher started to ask what film, some of my classmates shouted for American movie titles. Then, when one of my classmate suggested a local film, they laughed aloud and told the class that it is too cheesy!!! They do those things like bitches and really discriminated local movie films and music. They are more fond of foreign mainstream films which just show old love stories and such. I felt sorry for the local show business industry. Even though some of the films here in Philippines are nothing to compare with foreign films, still it is a work of art that need to be respected. Youth today are too much fond of the latest things and thus lessening the uniqueness of it.Too much for the mainstreams...
That's what I want with Japanese films, bands and stageplays. They are not popular. Most of my friends don't know about it. That's why I love it. It becomes unique because it's rare. It becomes great because it doesn't belong to the mainstream culture..A lot of young men and women can talk about twilight, how it fascinates them, how handsome Edward is, how romantic the love story is, but we must take in to consideration how it affects the mystery of every stories. Too much details about the craft will make it less exciting...
Basically, I don't like twilight now. Before, when I saw a movie poster of it in SM, I got curious and interested about it. But I lost my fascination on it when most of the teenagers started to be a total fangirls and fanboys...Before, I don't want to read the novel nor watch the film it because there's no need to since I already knew the cheesy love story from the mouth of those great gossipers and fangirls....Popularity should not be less or too much. Enough...mystery lies ahead...then,,,,it becomes precious and worth watching for...
DISCLAIMER: I don't intend to hurt TWILIGHT lovers,,,I just like to express my opinion,,though,,,I still respect every films and every work of art ...
