• Actor Yuu Shirota is left-handed, so playing the left-handed Kunimitsu Tezuka in the Tenimyu and Live Action Movie was probably easier.
• Shirota is also half Spanish, and can still hold a conversation in Spanish.
• Actor Kouji Date is the only Hyotei member to keep his original Tenimyu role as Chotaro Ohtori when being casted for the Live Action Movie. The rest of the team was re-casted.
• Actor Kanata Irei (Kojiro Saeki) is half Argentinean.
• Ironically, Shirota’s personality is the complete opposite to that of Tezuka.
• Kouji Date enjoys playing tennis in his freetime.
• Actor Kenta Kamakari enjoys billards in his freetime as does Ryo Shishido, the character Kamakari portrays in the Tenimyu.
• The only Seigaku member to be re-casted for the Live Action Movie was Ryoma Echizen.
• Actor Ryosuke Kato played both Ryo and Atsushi Kisarazu in the Tenimyu, and Dream Live 4th was the only musical to have both twins present.
• Actor Hiroki Aiba’s from Chiba, which is where Shusuke Fuji, the character Aiba portrays, is from.
• Actor Takuya (Jiroh Akutagawa) taught Aiba some dance moves when they were part of a streetdancing group called BRIGHTS.
  • Kachiro is the youngest character, while Akutsu is the oldest.
  • On that note, Jiroh is the oldest of Hyotei. Yes, even older than Atobe. Crazy, huh?
  • Katsuo is the oldest of the Freshman Trio.
  • Shusuke and Yuuta have birthdays 11 days apart, and are young for their years. Yukimura is the baby of his year being the youngest 3rd year. If you think about it, Shusuke is closer to Kaidoh’s age then to Oishi’s age, and Yukimura is closer to Kirihara’s age than to Sanada’s age. This goes a long ways towards why the 2nd years seem to tower over the 1st years. They may be only a grade apart, but Momo is actually 1 1/2 years older than Ryoma, and Kaidoh is nearly 2 years older than Kachiro.
  • Inui is only a day older than his childhood friend, Renji. Plus they’re two of only four characters with June birthdays.
  • All of the Hyotei 3rd years have birthdays in September-October, except for Jiroh, who’s birthday is in May. He seems to always be the odd ball.
  • Eguchi, Araki, Yazaki, Kazuki, Ogasawa, Nagayama, Dori, Yanagi K., and Kazuma share birthday months with the characters they portray.
  • Genki, Kazuki, and Aiba share their birthdays with rival characters.
  • Ryoma was born on Christmas Eve, Nakayama was born on Christmas, Dan was born on the day after New Year’s, Yanagisawa and Chitose were born on New Year’s Eve, Ohtori was born on Valentine’s Day, and Tooyama was born on April Fools.
